Mr. Harry B. Gibb
President & Chief Executive Officer
Harry B. Gibb joined JBM in August 2000. His primary job in the company was proposal development where he was instrumental in writing winning proposals for the company’s primary business endeavors. In 2002, he was appointed to the JBM Board of Directors and in 2007 was seleced to serve as the JBM Executive Vice President. Based on his years of service within JBM, he was selected by the Board of Directors to become JBM’s President and Chief Executive Officer, assuming those executive duties in October 2008.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Harry is an Auburn University Alumni who served 31 years as a career Army officer prior to joining JBM. He served in Thailand, France, Germany and several Army posts within the United States. He commanded Army logistical units at the company and battalion level. He was also a U. S. Army European Foreign Area Officer (FAO) specializing in France. He served in the Office of the Defense Attaché in Paris, France, the US Army Support Command, Sattahip, Thailand, and two 4-year tours in Germany in the 21st Support Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany. He also served in the 67th Maintenance Battalion, Ft. Benning, GA, the 1st Support Battalion, Ft. Polk, LA and U.S. Army Special Forces Center and School, Ft. Bragg, NC. In addition to field assignments in the United States, he served two tours of duty in the Pentagon, first as the Chief, War Reserve Planning in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations (G-3) and later as the Chief, Regional Programs for the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army, International Affairs. As the Chief, Regional Programs, Harry was responsible for investigating and resolving international issues associated with illicit and illegal technology transfers. Harry retired from the Army in August 2000 having achieved the rank of Colonel.
Colonel Gibb has a BA Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Masters of Science in International Relations from Troy State University. He also attended Harvard University’s School of Government program in International Security, the Defense Language Institute-French, the US Army Foreign Area Officer School and is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
Mr. Andy L. Vonada
Chief Operations Officer
Andrew L. Vonada is responsible for managing JBM’s three Operating Divisions; driving corporate Business Development goals; and planning customer, employee and organizational requirements. He joined JBM during September 2003 and initially served as an Information Operations (IO) and Doctrine Planner in support of the Army’s 1st IO Command, Fort Belvoir, VA. During 2005, he was tapped to serve as JBM’s Director, Business Development. Within this capacity, he was responsible for marketing JBM’s core competencies, locating new business opportunities, and oversight of capture/proposal development activities. During 2006, he assumed the additional responsibility for managing the corporation’s IO Division, which provides cutting-edge, full-spectrum, deployable IO-related staff support to customers worldwide. As a result of his overall efforts, JBM realized new business expansion in Dayton, OH, Tampa, FL, Quantico, VA, and in support of deployed customers. Mr. Vonada assumed his current role as the COO in May 2009.
A native of Harrisburg, PA, Mr. Vonada served 26 years in the US Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer and Foreign Area Officer. During his military career, he served in diverse assignments in South America, Japan and at posts within the United States. He participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, as well as other world-wide contingency and exercise deployments. In his final assignment, Mr. Vonada served as a lead Politico-Military Planner for the Strategic Plans and Policies Directorate, Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Mr. Vonada is a graduate of the US Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Defense Language Institute, and holds a Master of Military Studies Degree from the US Marine Corps University. Additionally, he holds a Masters in International Administration from Central Michigan University.
Mr. Alex J. Johnson
Chairman, JBM Board of Directors
Alex J. Johnson was named the Chairman, JBM Board of directors in October 2008. After establishing JBM in 1990 with the purpose of providing professional services support to the US military, he served as the company’s CEO. Under his leadership, Alex has led the company’s growth and development from a tiny engineering firm to a robust, medium size company with supporting customers world-wide.
Alex retired from the Army after 28 years of distinguished service. He served two tours in South Vietnam and multiple tours in both System Acquisition and the Field Artillery. During his career, he was instrumental in the development and fielding of the Army's mortar and artillery locating radars, and a moving target radar system that eventually led to the development of the Joint STARS, used throughout the Desert Storm conflict. His Army career culminated as the Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence and Electronic Warfare, Fort Monmouth, NJ.
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor degree and Master of Science degree from Southern Illinois University where he was a faculty member for 4 years. He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Management from Central Michigan University and completed the Penn State Executive Management Program. He is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
