JBM Supports CENTCOM Efforts to Counter Extremist Ideologies
TAMPA,
FL, April 20, 2009 – One of the threats that face U.S. forces serving in
Iraq and Afghanistan relates to violent extremist ideologies and its
impact on violence throughout both operational theaters. The
United Stated Central Command (USCENTCOM) recognizes this threat, and
has charged its J3 Information Operations staff section with countering
extremist information currently circulating throughout their area of
operations (AOR).
JBM was recently awarded a one-year subcontract to support USCENTCOM's
efforts to impact the information environment throughout their AOR.
JBM will provide planning and analysis support to the effort to counter
violent extremist ideology (CVEI) by developing and implementing
comprehensive, self sustaining, long term CVEI campaigns that degrades
popular support for violent extremist organizations.
JBM brings tremendous operational experience, having provided
on-the-ground IO planners, analysts, and targeteers to support IO
efforts in both Iraq and Afghanistan, dating back to the initial
operations in each country. Tapping into our support to the Army's
1st IO Command, the Marine Corps' Information Operations Center, and the
Air Force's National Air and Space Intelligence Center, JBM connects
multi-Service experience into creating tangible effects that directly
impact operations throughout USCENTCOM.
