JBM Now Supporting BAE’s IDWS Defensive System
HUNTSVILLE, AL., Sep 25, 2008 -- BAE Systems was awarded a contract in January 2008 by the U. S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to develop and integrate a remotely operated defensive weapon system aboard the Osprey. The weapon system, referred to as the Interim Defensive Weapon System (IDWS), is based on BAE Systems' Remote Guardian System.
With JBM’s exceptional reputation for high-quality field service representatives, BAE brought JBM onto the team today to help address technical and training requirements relating to the IDWS for the Air Force Special Operations Command, as well as monitor, track and have total asset visibility into the status of all Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) being ordered or repaired. JBM employees will provide support to this program from both Johnson City, NY as well as Hurlburt Field, FL.
For more information about JBM’s support to the IDWS program, please contact JBM’s Business Development Team.
