JBM Helping the Marine Corps Establish Its Own IO Center

ALEXANDRIA, VA., Jun 30, 2008 -- On June 30, 2008, Headquarters United States Marine Corps (USMC) released Marine Corps Order 3120.10, directing the establishment of a new Marine Corps IO Center (MCIOC). The mission of the MCIOC is to “provide MAGTF commanders and the Marine Corps a responsive and effective full-spectrum IO planning and psychological operations (PSYOP) delivery capability by means of deployable support teams and a comprehensive general support IO reach-back capability in order to support the integration of IO into Marine Corps operations.” JBM is using its years of IO experience supporting service IO organizations and overseas customers to help the MCIOC establish itself as the Marine Corps’ center for IO excellence. Our employees are currently helping the MCIOC develop IO planning, intelligence, assessment, and targeting products to help the Marine Corps integrate IO into the full spectrum of Marine operations, worldwide. JBM will continue to provide operational and training support to the MCIOC until its own stand-alone support contract is awarded in the second quarter of FY2009.
