EQ-36 Represents Strategic Win for JBM

HUNTSVILLE, AL., Sep 27, 2006 -- The TPQ-36 and TPQ-37 radars detect and alert U.S. Forces of incoming indirect fires (mortar, artillery, rocket), and have been key components of an early warning system that provides force protection for our deployed troops overseas.  Recognizing the importance of this equipment and wishing to expand its capabilities, the Army's Program Executive Officer-Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO-IEW&S) has decided to fund the development and fielding of an enhanced EQ-36 system to replace aging TPQ-36 and TPQ-37 radars.  JBM is honored to be a part of the winning Lockheed Martin team for this critical endeavor, and will be assisting with software interoperability issues and providing logistic and field services support to the fielding of the new radar systems.
